Imagine being a young child, wanting to give your mother something special. This little boy was such a sweet character; he had a surprise in mind that would put a smile on his mother’s face.
This little one knew a thing or two about the ladies, and he suspected his mom would really treasure some jewelry. So, he found his way to a local store that he felt could give him what he was looking for. The jewelry store he’d chosen was in Tibét Algeria. He had organized himself beforehand so that he had all his savings with him.
It was evening time, and the store manager was surprised to see a patron so young shuffling into his location. He looked down at the little guy, wondering why such a young child had walked into his store.
The man knew that the little boy was in the wrong place. After all, he didn’t sell dollar store trinkets. His wares were precious metals and fine stones that cost adults a pretty penny. His clients were usually professionals who had the kind of money to buy the finest jewelry that his area had to offer.
However, he decided to hear the little boy out. He didn’t want to discourage his new client, even though he was young. Young people still have the right to buy anything they want, provided that they have the funds. So, he let the little boy show him how much he had budgeted for the gift.
The store manager tried not to scoff; it was an amount that would be better to spend on rings that were costume jewelry. Even then, the little boy would probably have a hard time selecting something with his pennies. He had to break the bad news to his prospective client. The little boy took it in stride; he was disappointed, but he did not attempt to barter.
Then the shop owner got curious and inquired why it was so important for the little boy to get a piece of silver or gold from his store.
The boy didn’t hesitate in telling the man his intentions – he wanted to purchase a silver ring for his mother. The man was truly touched by the story. It’s not often that he meets such selfless little men in his profession.
The manager decided that he could absorb the price differential for the item. The boy left so happy; he may not have even realized what the store manager actually did. But it’s certain that his mother would treasure the ring for years to come.
Her son wanted her to have a high-quality gift so she could feel loved, and it’s most certain that he accomplished his mission.
