My Wife Has Warned Me Not To Attend Her Mother’s Funeral Because Of What Happened

Just a year after we got married, my wife lost her job. I saw it coming. I knew it would happen eventually, but I didn’t expect it to unfold the way it did. She had been having issues with her boss, constantly coming home with complaints about how poorly she was being treated.

She would say, “She’s the reason I’m not getting promoted. She lies about my performance, and until she leaves, I doubt I’ll ever get promoted.”

On another occasion, she complained about being disrespected by her boss in front of her junior colleagues. Months later, they had a serious altercation. My wife told her boss to her face that her bad attitude was the reason she couldn’t find a man to marry her. Her boss didn’t take that accusation lightly and escalated the matter. My wife was suspended, and out of anger, she resigned.
