Little Boy Doesn’t Let Anyone into His Room until Policeman Arrives and Steps Inside

The little boy refused to let anyone into his room until the police arrived and stepped inside. Paige Bailey had always noticed the boy who lived next door. Every day, he was outside from morning until evening. If he wasn’t riding his bike, he was skating or chatting with other boys in the neighborhood.

At first, everything seemed perfectly normal  just a child enjoying his day. But after a while, Paige began to notice something strange. Whenever the other boys’ mothers called them in for dinner, the street would slowly empty until only that boy was left. He never looked upset about it; instead, he would just shrug, turn his cap backward, and keep riding his bike alone.

The sight tugged at Paige’s heart. Something about the boy’s quiet loneliness didn’t sit right with her. He seemed too used to being on his own, too independent for a child his age. Paige couldn’t shake the feeling that something was wrong behind that closed door he always went back to.
