Waitress Was Doing Sneaky Things At Work – Boss Turned Furious After He Saw What She Was Doing
“The small cozy diner hummed with the sound of chatter and clinking dishes. Angela, a young waitress with a mischievous glint in her eyes, bustled about attending to customers. Little did anyone know, Angela had a secret. As she took orders and delivered steaming plates of food, her mind was consumed with a clandestine mission.
The owner of the diner, Noah, had no idea about Angela’s true intention when he hired her to work at his restaurant. All he knew was that suddenly business was increasing dramatically, and it was very clear it was because of his new waitress. People were coming in specifically for her. Eventually, Noah came up with a plan to figure out what was so special about Angela, and he quickly discovered that there was much more to Angela than meets the eye. She was up to something, something that Noah could not possibly be okay with.
But why was Angela attracting so many customers? What was she hiding from Noah, and why did it make him so incredibly furious? Every single guest that had come to the small diner in the past year seemed to absolutely love the new waitress Angela. The reviews were always higher on the evenings that she was working, and some people making reservations even wanted to make sure she was there before they booked.
The boss of the diner, Noah, had no idea why this was exactly, and at first, he didn’t really care. He was just really happy that one of his employees was bringing in so many more happy customers. To think that he’d almost turned her away when she first presented her application.
At first sight, Angela didn’t look like the picture-perfect employee. In fact, she was anything but. At the time, the resume she submitted was lacking any relevant working experience and even had an unexplained two-year gap.
She also had not completed any education and could not present any past employees to vouch for her. Most people would have thrown that resume right in the trash, but at the time, Noah was so desperate for employees that he decided to at least give her a chance to have a face-to-face conversation.
And that conversation had changed his mind completely about the young woman. Their first impression was not perfect; she could have most definitely picked a better outfit or put a bit more effort into her appearance. But there could be other explanations for why that was not up to par at the time. What really convinced him was the conversation they had.
He couldn’t help but feel like Angela had a very special kind of charm, something that really drew him in. He had a smile on his face nearly the whole time, and he’d never laughed so much during an application interview.
Angela just seemed to be strangely well-suited to people’s contact, and in Noah’s eyes, this made her perfect for the job as a waitress. So he gave her a chance, and at first, it seemed like one of the best business decisions he’d ever made. But this joy would quickly make way for dread when he found out the reality of Angela’s situation.
Without Noah having any idea, Angela had not only been waiting at the table at the diner like a good employee. She was actually up to something very different at the place. But it was of crucial importance that Noah would not find out what that was exactly.
Noah had not really felt the need to question why most of the customers were so in love with Angela, as he mostly just attributed it to her natural charm. But when Angela informed him that she was set to go on vacation for four weeks, Noah started to get a bit worried.
The thought of having to miss this biggest customer draw for four weeks gave Noah a chance. She was set to leave in two weeks, but already people were having second thoughts about making reservations for that time.
Noah started thinking if there could be a way to replicate the magic that Angela seemed to possess. He called her into his office that day and started to question Angela about what she thought was making her such an incredible success with her customers.
Noah could tell by her reaction that she was obviously not entirely comfortable with this line of questioning. Even though Noah was as nice as he could be, Angela could barely make eye contact with her boss. She just kept telling him that she didn’t really know what the customer saw in her. They just liked the way she talked or made them laugh or something.
It quickly became clear to Noah that he was probably not going to get the answers he wanted out of his employee, which was more or less what he had expected. But what he didn’t expect was Angela’s strangely nervous behavior during the conversation.
It wasn’t like he was asking anything weird of her. Noah could have just left it for what it was at that point and accepted that he would have four weeks of bad business, but he wasn’t ready to give it up yet.
If Angela couldn’t tell him why customers liked her so much, maybe the customers that came specifically for her could tell him why they liked Angela specifically. Of course, he wasn’t sure which customer came for Angela specifically, but in the two weeks before she left, there were a couple of reservations made by people who had specifically asked if Angela was going to be working that night.
They had to have a good reason for that. And when the first of those customers came in a couple of days later, Noah met them at the door and asked them straight up why they wanted Angela to be there so badly.
The two reacted as if they’d just been hit by lightning. They were so in shock and caught off guard by the question, struggling to find an answer. Noah even noticed that one of them exchanged a look with somebody in the restaurant. It was Angela. She looked really nervous as well. Eventually, the two men just told Noah that Angela always made them feel extremely welcome and comfortable.
But at this point, Noah was pretty sure that there was something weird going on with Angela. He had no idea what, but he was determined to find out. These customers had to have a good reason to come into the restaurant so often. It wasn’t for the food or service.
In the next couple of days, a couple more customers came in that had asked for Angela. But when he asked them why they had done that, they all had an answer prepared. Most were centered around her great people skills and good customer service. But Noah very much felt like these answers were rehearsed.
Noah was a bit doubtful of what he was supposed to do now. Angela was obviously up to something, and the fact that she was trying too hard to hide it made him fear that it might not be something completely legal, or at the very least, not complying with the diner’s policy.
This should normally be something that he should get to the bottom of and make sure that it stopped happening. But Angela was bringing in so many extra paying customers that he was afraid that if he’d end up firing her, his business might go under.
In the last couple of weeks before Angela went on vacation, it was even busier than ever before. Angela had picked up as many extra shifts as possible and was working nearly every day. Not a seat in the house was ever empty for long, and the kitchen couldn’t get the food out fast enough.
But Noah also noticed in the agenda that the reservations so far seemed to have completely dried up for the coming four weeks, and then after that period, they’d started to already be booked in. It was scary how much of the business success now rested on Angela’s presence.
Noah decided that he wanted to make one last effort to find out what Angela was doing in the restaurant. He wasn’t sure what he was going to do with the information once he had it, but he just needed to know. His curiosity was really getting the better of him at this point.
He decided to enlist the help of one of his good friends, somebody he knew could keep a secret and somebody that Angela didn’t know. The friend’s name was Michael, and Noah asked him to call to make an appointment for the next day.
He made sure that Angela answered the call. Noah had already created a single space in the agenda for tomorrow, and Michael also had to ask Angela if she worked that day, which she did. Angela noted the reservation, and from that moment on, the plan was set in motion.
But Noah and Michael would end up being completely shocked by what they were set to discover about the waitress.
They found out that Angela was using the restaurant and her cover of being a waitress to sell and distribute black-market medication to customers. This was very much illegal, and even though Noah knew his business would take a big hit, he decided to report Angela to the police, by whom she was quickly arrested.”
