While Washing His Daughter’s Body Before the Funeral, He Noticed Something That Made Him in Shock

Ronald held his eight-year-old daughter in his arms as he gently cleaned her body while fighting back his tears. “You left too soon. How do I live without you?” he cried. “Vicky, daddy is here, that is here. Answer me, darling,” he pleaded, but there was total silence. It finally began to dawn on him that his little angel was truly gone.

But just as he poured water on her hair, he suddenly noticed something shocking that made him freeze. It was so terrifying that he almost took to his heels. It was midnight, and the only source of light in Ronald’s bedroom was the dim bedside light.

The room smelled slightly of green tea that the couple drank before going to bed. Ronald often found it difficult to sleep after tea, but as a doting husband, he had to please his pregnant wife, Alice when she suggested that they have a drink together.

After taking a cup of tea, they both climbed on the bed, and Alice fell asleep almost immediately while Ronald tossed on the bed, struggling to sleep. About three hours later, he finally began to feel sleepy, but just a few minutes after he had finally drifted off to sleep, he suddenly began to hear whimpering sounds. At first, he thought he was imagining them, but when Alice held his shirt’s tail, he knew she was doing it again.

Facing her, he asked, “Did you have a frightening dream again?” Alice replied, “Yes, I will die. I won’t get to raise our daughter. I have seen it in the dream.” Alice cried. Ronald assured her, “Just a dream that will never happen. I won’t let anything bad happen to you. I will protect you at all costs.” But Alice continued to weep and said, “Then why do I keep having the dream every night? It feels so real. I will die, Ronald.” She wept harder.

Then she held Ronald’s hand and asked him to promise her that he would protect their unborn daughter at all costs. Ronald tried to stop her from being silly, but Alice insisted. “I promise you that we will take care of her together,” he said and wrapped his arms around her.

A few minutes later, Alice snored mildly, and a smile played on Ronald’s lips. Ronald felt so lucky and happy that he was married to the woman of his dreams. The couple had been through a lot, yet their love only grew stronger.

They got married in their early 20s and had to wait 10 years before Alice finally conceived. The rest of the pregnancy was smooth, and when the due date was about three months away, the couple began to make the necessary preparations.

They lived in a small village where everyone knew each other and was always willing to help. The neighbors also brought baby items for Alice. Unfortunately, about seven weeks before Alice’s due date, her water suddenly broke, and she was rushed to the local maternity center. She had prolonged labor, and to make matters worse, her blood pressure immediately shot up while on the birthing bed.

Alice kept screaming, “It’s happening again, just like I saw it in my dream. Everything is happening.” The nurse tried to calm her down, but she kept panting, worsening her condition. The nurses soon discovered that she had obstructed labor, and although they managed to safely deliver the baby, they couldn’t save Alice, who suddenly suffered cardiac arrest, as well as postpartum hemorrhage.

Some hours after giving birth to her daughter, words would fail to describe how Ronald felt when he learned of his wife’s death, and he promised to do everything to protect their daughter, Victoria, just like his wife had wanted. If only he knew that in eight years, he would be planning the funeral of his beloved daughter.

So what happened to the little girl? Well, keep on watching to find out…

Heather, Victoria’s grandmother, heard about her daughter’s death and decided to move into Ronald’s house to care for her granddaughter. Heather herself was a widow, and ever since her husband had passed away, she was mostly indoors. Moving to Ronald’s house and taking care of her granddaughter would spice up her boring life and make her forget a bit of the pain of losing her daughter.

Growing up, Victoria was a carbon copy of her late mother. Just like Alice, she loved arts, flowers, and herbs. She would often ask her father to buy flowers for her, and when she turned three, she joined Heather to plant some flowers in the front yard. Each morning, she would wake up very early to water the plants.

Victoria was a calm, easy-going, and obedient girl, but one day, she gave her father and grandmother the scare of their lives. The family had usually had dinner around 6 pm, and after making the food, Heather would go to Ronald and Victoria’s room to ask them to come to the dining room. But that day, when she got to Victoria’s room, it was empty.

Ronald and Heather rushed out of the house and began looking for Victoria while screaming her name, but just as they were approaching the village outskirts, they saw Victoria, now six, running towards them and holding some fresh flowers in her hands. The little girl looked so happy and proud of herself, and she showed her dad and grandmother the fresh flowers she got from a nearby forest.

Ronald and Heather were glad that she was safe, but they wanted her never to go out there alone again. But she didn’t listen. The next day, she went to the forest again and returned with some fresh fruits and flowers. Heather made it a point of duty to always go with her, and it continued this way for a while. But when Victoria turned eight and Heather 70, the elderly woman no longer had the strength to go with her to the forest.

However, whenever Victoria was taking too much time to come home, Heather would still walk to the outskirts of the village and call her out. Once Victoria heard her grandmother’s call, she would stop whatever she was doing and rush to meet her. It continued this way most evenings, and Victoria would return home with fresh fruits and flowers.

But one day, something tragic happened…

That day, Heather felt uneasy, and her instincts told her that something was wrong. So even though Victoria had only been gone for 15 minutes, she rushed to the village’s outskirts and started calling Victoria’s name at the top of her voice. A few minutes later, Victoria came out of the forest, but Heather immediately noticed that something was wrong.

The girl looked so pale, and she wasn’t holding any flowers. Just when Heather was about to ask if she was okay, Victoria clenched her stomach and suddenly collapsed. Filled with terror, Heather screamed at the top of her voice as she called for help. Within a few minutes, some villagers came to her aid, and Victoria was rushed to the health center where she was sadly pronounced dead.

Victoria was taken back home, and her family began to prepare for her burial. Ronald, who was crying his eyes out, decided that he would wash his daughter’s body before the funeral. As he cleaned her body, she looked so calm and peaceful that Ronald was forced to imagine the moments leading to her death. Was she scared? Did she say, “Papa, help me”? Was she in pain? He wondered.

Just then, he noticed something at the corners of her mouth that made him freeze. It looked like a blade of grass. With trembling hands, Ronald slowly opened his daughter’s mouth, and what he saw made him scream. He saw a mixture of herbs wrapped in a tiny piece of weird clothing.

No one at the funeral had ever seen such a clothing design, so Ronald rushed out of the house and started asking everyone if they knew where the clothing came from. Luckily, someone told him that there was a traditional healer living in the forest who he had seen wearing that exact clothing.

Ronald rushed back home to his daughter while the villagers, who were more than willing to help, went in search of the traditional healer. You see, this man was an escaped convict who collected rare herbs and elk antlers and sold them illegally. As it turned out, one day he saw Victoria walking through the woods and immediately came up with an evil plan that would earn him more money.

He started by gaining Victoria’s trust, so whenever she came to the forest, he would give her fresh fruits and flowers. So on the day Victoria collapsed, he had given her the herbs her father found in her mouth. The herbs would make her fall into a deep sleep. In this way, he could quickly sell her off to a family who couldn’t bear a child and make lots of money in the process.

However, Heather thwarted his plans when she rushed to the forest earlier than usual and called Victoria, who came running to her only to collapse right in front of her. After a thorough chase, the policeman eventually found the traditional healer and put him behind bars.

So what happened to Victoria? Fortunately, for the little girl, Ronald recognized the herbs in his daughter’s mouth as sleeping herbs. So he took her into her room, covered her with a blanket, and about eight hours later, the girl naturally woke up.

From that day on, Ronald and Heather were careful never to let Victoria out of their sight. Ronald was also glad that he kept to the promise he made to his late wife to protect their daughter.
