If It Hadn’t Been Caught on Camera, Nobody Would Have Believed It

“There are many unbelievable things happening all over the world at any given moment, and thankfully, with the invention of cameras and the fact that we all have one in our pocket now, we can actually record those moments. How many times did you see something amazing that nobody believed you about afterwards? Well, not anymore. We made a list of hand-picked moments like that only for you. From what is probably one of the smartest birds on earth to a guy that deserves the medal for being the bravest human being ever, here are 20 moments you wouldn’t believe if they weren’t recorded.

Number 20: Dog saved from freezing cold ice by RSPCA inspector. The RSPCA is the largest animal welfare charity organization in the United Kingdom, and they do incredibly important work to save and look after animals that need help. In this video, you can see how a dog got stuck in icy waters on a lake in England.

The poor animal was scared half to death, and its life was severely in danger due to the freezing temperatures of the water. He wasn’t able to climb back up on the ice to manage to reach the shore and get dry, so he was frantically trying to stay afloat, but he was clearly too tired to go on for too long. Thankfully, somebody called the RSPCA, and they sent someone to rescue the little doggie. The poor boy was barking, terrified, so the volunteer had to cross the ice herself while trying to calm down the animal with a huge hook. She was literally pushing herself forward towards the dog until she managed to reach him. She grabbed him and, with a huge effort, pulled him out of the water. The doggy was then able to walk on the ice towards the rest of the rescuers that immediately covered him in a towel. He was so happy that his tail could not stop wagging away.

Now it’s time for the star topic. Normally, people that go on an exotic holiday to a foreign land do so with the expectation of experiencing and seeing new things, right? But nobody could ever be ready to see this terrifying creature on their trip to the Amazon rainforest. It was a group of German tourists, and they were being guided through the jungle when the guide suddenly became pale and paralyzed.

At first, everyone thought he had seen a dangerous animal like a snake or a jaguar, but when they went to investigate, they saw this creepy thing. The guide was already far away because he simply started running, and the tourists decided to do the same but not before snapping this image. Number 19: Plane flies over city skyscraper in Sydney, October 11th, 2018. Sydney is a beautiful city with an iconic skyline, which makes it the perfect place for a feat like this one. In this amazing footage, you can see a Royal Australian Air Force plane flying over a skyscraper. You can see a gorgeous river in the background with sailing boats, which gives you a perfect perspective of how insanely high that skyscraper really is. The office buildings also look like tiny itty-bitty toys from up there, and then, out of absolutely nowhere, a massive military flying machine shows up on frame and basically starts approaching the people that were enjoying the view.

You can hear someone ask, ‘How loud? What is that plane doing?’ As the plane gets closer and closer, the sound becomes quite frightening, and everybody on that building is clearly either extremely surprised or hands down terrified. Some ‘Oh my gods’ can be heard in the background as well. The plane gets as close as humanly possible before flying upwards into the sky, and thank God, because otherwise, this would have been a completely different kind of event altogether. We don’t know what that pilot was doing, if he lost control of the plane for a second there or maybe got distracted or he was simply practicing or showing off, but one thing is for sure, he has some serious flying skills.

Number 18: A sinkhole on the road happening in real-time as a car passes. Sinkholes are an absolutely terrifying natural phenomenon. Just imagine walking around one day and feeling the earth under your feet literally sinking and pulling you with it. This footage was filmed in Russia, you know, where you don’t drive on the road, the road drives on you. Where else could something like this happen? After all, in the video, you can see a very ordinary and sunny day. People are driving, probably to their respective jobs in the morning. The road isn’t too busy, thankfully. At first glance, everything looks perfectly normal, boring even.

But then you start noticing the cracks on the asphalt, and clearly, all the drivers are noticing them too, because each and every car that passes is actively avoiding the spot. The road is literally sinking a little, but Russians, being the badass people they are, don’t seem too worried about it. They keep driving right next to the now gaping hole in the ground. Of course, eventually, the sinkhole gets larger, and in the blink of an eye, a huge chunk of the road simply disappears into the void underneath. There’s water, and the hole gets unapologetically bigger and bigger. But you know, try not to be late for work is clearly much more important than escaping being swallowed by a sinkhole, so everyone just keeps driving like nothing happened.

Number 17: Awesome lightning strike on a pine. A man named Oliver was filming a thunderstorm while he was with his friends in a cabin up in Lac Nogu in Quebec. One of the other guests staying at the resort was nonchalantly walking outside. Nobody had a care in the world. They even casually just say hello to him. That’s because they had no idea what was about to happen. That man that was outside eventually goes into his cabin, and you’ll see in a second why that decision may very well have saved his life. Oliver and his friend were filming from inside one of the houses, so they were safe the whole time. But that massively huge pine tree you can see on the left side of the frame, well, let’s say that tree isn’t safe at all. Out of nowhere, you can hear a tremendous roar coming from the sky, and not even a second later, an insanely huge lightning bolt comes upon the pine tree and completely rips off half its trunk almost instantly. The bark and many huge branches are sent tumbling violently onto the cabin’s roof. The camera placement was absolutely perfect to capture the entire event. Thankfully, nobody got hurt, but can you imagine what would happen to that guy if he decided, for whatever reason, to walk in that area just one second before he did?

Number 16: Jaw-dropping surfer fights off shark attack live on TV. Mick Fanning is a triple world champion Australian professional surfer, and he might just be the bravest and luckiest man on Earth. A shark attacked him during a surf competition in South Africa, but he miraculously survived unscathed, and it all happened on live TV. Fanning was on his surfboard when suddenly you can see a shark fin poking out of the water. Fanning realizes what’s happening quite quickly, and he turns to face the apex predator, but to the horror of the spectators, he disappears under the surface of the water. Everyone’s hearts stopped beating. It’s never a good thing when someone disappears under the water when a shark just attacked him. Wouldn’t you agree? After only a few seconds, but what seems like an eternity, Fanning’s head poked out of the water. He was okay. Soon after, rescuers arrived on water scooters and also on a speedboat. You can see that Fanning is extremely distraught but safe and sound. The shark did manage to rip off the surfboard though, which makes you wonder what it could have done to Fanning if he had the time. Yikes! Fanning later that day said to a reporter that he actually warned away the massive shark by punching it on the back. One thing is for sure, this guy is really brave.

Number 15: Makeup tutorial recorded during LA earthquake. Remember the earthquake of July 5th, 2019 that happened in Los Angeles? It was quite a big one, and if you need your memory refreshed, just check out this insane video. This adorable teenager was making a makeup tutorial video. Her intent was to teach other girls how to do a more mature and classy style for their nights out on the town. She starts by explaining that she’s about to use a very expensive bright red lipstick that her mom had just bought, and she evidently has a sense of humor because she asks the viewers not to tell her mom that she’s using it. She starts by saying that the first step is to fill the top of the lips, you know, the part that kind of looks like a little heart. She does her top lip, and honestly, it looks very good. But the second she goes to do her lower lip, that’s when the entire room starts to shake quite violently. So much so, she even paints half her cheek in bright red. Yeah, there’s no way her mom’s not gonna know that she messed with her brand new lipstick. Now, let’s continue with the next part.

Number 14: Fighter jet almost lands too early. So fighter jets are very scary machines. I mean, they were literally designed and built for war, so you could imagine how scary it would be to see one flying straight towards you, right? Well, check out this cool video of a fighter jet almost landing on a group of people, and I mean that literally. A group of people was just outside the military airport, probably just to watch the amazing planes that were flying around. Who doesn’t enjoy seeing a plane land, right? Except, we sometimes forget that even the ultra-modern, cutting-edge technology, flying killing machines are always at the mercy of a human pilot, which means there’s always, always room for error. And if you don’t believe me, take a look at this video. The fighter jet was descending to get ready to land, but the pilot miscalculated something, and he almost crushed the people on the ground. Thankfully, these kinds of planes are so fast and so sensitive that the pilot was able to dodge the group and reassess its route in the split of a second. You can actually see the moment the nose of the plane changes its angle. There’s a man on the ground running for his life, probably half scared to death. Honestly, could you blame him?

Number 13: Burj Khalifa Pinnacle Base Jump. As you may already know, the Burj Khalifa is an insane skyscraper in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. At over 2,716.5 feet and more than 160 stories, this amazing building holds two world records: tallest building in the world and tallest freestanding structure in the world. So you can very well imagine that these two guys jumping from its highest point is nothing short of incredible. Their names are Vince Rife and Fred Fugan. They are French professional skydivers and freefly world champions. Only guys like them could do something so crazy just for fun. Anyone else would be absolutely petrified. The pair of friends put on the fly suit, which is nothing more than a suit with wings built in, and off they go into the abyss of Dubai. They fly together in unison while they go around the tallest building in history, leaving behind a trail of bright orange fog to make things even more visually striking. They keep falling more and more rapidly until only a few meters above the ground, they deploy their parachute. Both of them landed safely and seem ecstatically happy. The feeling of flying must be so exhilarating. What about you? Would you try it if you had the chance?

Number 12: Antares launch explosion, October 28th, 2014. NASA and the Orbital Science Corp’s Antares rocket and its Cygnus cargo spacecraft were headed to the International Space Station. They were set to launch at 6:22 PM Eastern on that Tuesday, the 28th of October, 2014. The cargo was set to carry some 5,000 pounds of supplies and experiments for the astronauts stationed in the International Space Station. But clearly, something went terribly

wrong because the rocket just exploded into a huge fireball. The explosion was so massive that it completely incinerated the rocket and everything on board. In the footage, you can see the rocket lifting off the launch pad for a moment, but then, out of nowhere, you see the engine’s thrust section explode, sending a massive fireball into the sky. The rocket then falls back to Earth and explodes again upon impact. The explosion was felt and heard for miles around. Amazingly, there were no casualties, as the area had been evacuated in preparation for the launch. The cause of the explosion was later determined to be a faulty turbo pump in one of the rocket’s engines.

Number 11: Daredevil plane walk. Planes are usually a super safe means of transportation, but only when you’re inside them. Check out this crazy video of a daredevil walking on the wings of a flying plane. We couldn’t find much information about this clip, like where it was filmed or why this guy was doing this, but one thing is for sure: it’s insane. The guy calmly walks from one wing to the other while the plane is in mid-air. He even seems to take a moment to enjoy the view before making his way back to the other wing. It’s hard to say how high the plane is flying, but it’s definitely not a stunt for the faint of heart. One slip or misstep could have been disastrous. Thankfully, he made it back inside the plane safely.

Number 10: Lightning strikes tree right in front of the camera. Lightning strikes are some of the most awe-inspiring and terrifying natural phenomena. And in this video, you can see a lightning strike that happens extremely close to the camera. The footage starts with a group of people standing in a field during a storm, watching as lightning flashes in the distance. Suddenly, without warning, a bolt of lightning strikes a tree right in front of them, causing a massive explosion of sparks and debris. The force of the strike knocks the camera to the ground, briefly cutting off the video. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but the close call serves as a reminder of just how powerful and unpredictable lightning can be.

Number 9: Avalanche narrowly misses skier. This video captures a skier’s terrifying close encounter with an avalanche. The skier is making their way down a mountain when they trigger a massive avalanche. The snow starts to rush down the slope, and it looks like they’re about to be engulfed by it. Miraculously, the skier manages to out-ski the avalanche, narrowly escaping its path as it roars down the mountain behind them. It’s a heart-stopping moment captured on camera, and a reminder of the dangers of skiing in avalanche-prone areas.
