I was born in a small village that was not on the map of Nigeria- Oshiomhole says as he declares for president

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, former Edo State governor, has said he was born like, many Nigerians, in a small village in Edo State that didn’t exist in the map of Nigeria.

Oshiomhole, a former national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) said this while declaring his intention to run for president of Nigeria under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2023 on Wednesday.

The former labour leader explained that he was born to a poor family that had very little, in a village that had no government presence, but he strived to overcome the challenges of his environment.

Oshiomhole said he left Edo State for Kaduna to work in a garment factory, from where he became a union leader and grew gradually to become president of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC).

He noted that he is well equipped to rule Nigeria, while promising to return the country to its glory days, promising to grow the economy and create jobs for the youths.

The former governor noted that he was not out to lament about the state of the country, but to proffer solutions to its challenges.

Oshiomhole appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari, who he said is a man of integrity who has fought corruption to a standstill.
