Adamawa Lawmakers endorse Namdas’ G’ship aspirations, donate N25m to purchase nomination form
Adamawa State House of Assembly Lawmakers from Tongo, Ganye, and Jada have endorsed the Gubernatorial ambition of Honourable Abdulrazak Sa’ad Namdas, a Member representing Tongo, Ganye, Jada, and Mayo Belwa Federal Constituency in the National Assembly.
The Lawmakers who are from Ganye Chiefdom and Namdas political lines Men in a press conference in Adamawa state House of Assembly complex alongside members of Namdas’ support groups unanimously agreed to support the aspirations of the lawmaker.
The spokesman who is the member representing the Ganye Constituency of the Adamawa Assembly, Hon Alhassan Hammanjoda said the members and all Namdas supporters have donated N25,000,000 to enable him to buy the governorship nomination form.
“Our support is based on the fact that Hon. Namdas has all it takes to govern the state and the Chiefdom has never produced a Governor in the history of Adamawa State. The truth is that Ganye Chiefdom tasted governorship for three months only when Alhaji Bamanga Tukur in the then Gongola state was elected as Governor under the platform of the NPN.
” The reign was short-lived by military intervention. From that time till date, we have never tasted governorship again despite our population. That is why we decided to support Hon Namdas who has distinguished himself at the National Assembly to be Governor of Adamawa State.
“Given this, we are calling on the entire people of Adamawa to support Namdas’ aspirations to govern the State. We assure you that he will never disappoint you rather he will bring the desired development the state had been yearning for.
” We have been supporting others to govern the state, it’s now time to support us.” Hammanjoda read the statement
