“We Just Lost A Golden Voice” – Darlington Ibekwe Mourns The Death Of Gospel Singer Chinedu Ibekwe
Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Chinedu Nwadike, is dead. According to the report which was made by Politics Nigeria, the singer died on Sunday March 27th in Abuja.
Many have taken to social media to mourn the singer and also pray for his soul to rest in peace.
Social media influencer, Darlington Chidera Ibekwe, also took to his Facebook page on Sunday afternoon to share the news with members of the public.
In his post, Darlington said that the singer lost the battle to blood cancer on Sunday in Abuja. He said that this is a very sad development because we just lost a golden voice, and asked people to remember his family in their prayers. Darlington also shared a photo he took with the late singer:
A few weeks ago, the singer went viral when he announced that he had been diagnosed with kidney disease. In a video which he shared on Facebook, he said that he did not want to die and leave his children, and asked people to help him in any way they could.
Several days after that, he disclosed that the doctors told him that the kidney disease had disappeared, but however, he was diagnosed with leukaemia. He said that there were plans on ground to fly him to India for a bone marrow transplant as soon as possible.
He was hopeful that just as he overcame the battle against kidney failure, he would also overcome the blood cancer. His death is a big shock, and we pray that may God comfort his family, and give them the fortitude to bear this huge loss.
Just as Darlington Ibekwe said, we have indeed lost a golden voice. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Please don’t forget to drop your condolence messages.
