Mkpuru Mmiri: How To Know If Someone Is Addicted To Crystal Meth

Crystal Meth is a hard drug popularly known as Mkpuru Mmiri in the Igbo language. It was first introduced by a Japanese chemist in 1893 and was used in the Second World War to boost the energy and morale of military troops in battle. 

Crystal Meth has destroyed the lives of many youths who smoke or inject the substance into their bodies. Many people who use the hard substance may be unaware of the drug’s side effects or the extent of brain damage it can cause. 

How To know if someone is addicted to Crystal Meth 

Whenever someone is engaged or addicted to crystal meth, there are signs or symptoms one should look out for. 

1. Bad Appearance: someone who is addicted to crystal meth, careless of his or her appearance. He will no longer take good care of his body. 

2. Developing the habit of stealing, selling of properties and borrowing money regularly.

3. Physical Changes: Someone who abuses crystal meth experiences loss of weight and appetite, skin sores, and mouth decay. 

3. Strange sleeping patterns: Crystal meth users can sleep for hours, days, or even weeks.

4. Psychotic Behaviour: Someone who takes crystal meth usually behaves abnormal. Psychotic behaviour includes hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thinking.
