Babajide Otitoju Reacts To Andy Uba’s ‘Comprehensive Defeat’ at Anambra Governorship Polls

Ace Nigerian Journalist, Babajide Otitoju, has reacted to the outcome of the recent governorship election in Anambra State.

During an interview on TVC News, Babajide shared his opinion regarding some of the incidents that preceded the recently concluded governorship election.

You may recall that the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, got declared the winner of the 2021 governorship election in Anambra State. However, All Progressives Congress (APC), Governorship Candidate in Anambra State, Senator Andy Uba, has rejected the election results.

Reacting to Andy Uba’s outcome at the poll, Babajide said, “I am not surprised that Andy Uba is saying that the election was not free and fair at this stage. Everyone knows that this is empty gas. The people of Anambra State have voted their next governor and moved on. We saw this coming. I know he (Andy) must have spent a lot of money, especially with the defections to his party. He must have that those defections would amount to victory, but that is not how it works.

Speaking further, he added, “The whole world may decamp to your camp, but if the masses do not defect to your camp, there is nothing you will experience except defeat. The outcome has been a ‘comprehensive defeat’ for Andy Uba. He did even not emerge second at the poll, so why is he complaining? He did not even win his local government area.”
