“I’m Searching For An Igbo Man Who Can Play The Role Of Tinubu In South East” – Joe Igbokwe

The chieftain of the ruling All Progressive Congress, Joe Igbokwe has taken to his official Facebook account to speak about the influence Bola Ahmed Tinubu has in the South West. He recounted the statement made by Comrade Eze Harris Chuma about searching for an Igbo man who can play the role of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the South East.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu is well known for his political influence in Lagos and South West. His influence earned him the “Asiwaju of Lagos” title and some people referred to him as the godfather of Lagos’s politics.

He referred to names like Prof. Yemi Osibanjo, Babatunde Fashola, Rauf Aregbesola, Babatunde Fowler and how they worked for Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He believes Bola Ahmed Tinubu did the needful to command respect and influence in South West. He looks forward to a day, South-East politicians would put their differences aside and work for the common good of the people.

Do you agree with Joe Igbokwe that South East is yet to produce a politician that can play an influential role as Bola Ahmed Tinubu did in South West?

  1. Uncle Joe Igbokwe is absolutely correct perhaps because he is familiar to the politics of the West and Lagos in particular. There is no way a meaningful achievement could be without an arrow head that will speak for the people. A situation that everyone is a headmaster will not produce anything.
This is one thing the real sons and daughters of the region have discovered. No doubt there will be some element of betrayal. But to a greater extent Asiwaju is the Awolowo of this generation for the Yoruba race politically. Let those spoiler know and realign themselves.

  2. A very stupid comment.Awolowo didn’t pocket billions from tollgate; didn’t make his daughter iya oloja.Awolowo reduced poverty by his transformational policies .agberos never existed beyond the garages..comparing both men is stupid.

  3. No matter the defrences in opinion the fact remain that Tinubu is corrently the arrow head of Yoruba politics.
Even though some people won’t agree but I challenge them to name any politician from the south west that can stand equal with Tinubu.
As for the south east, I e never seen a flock without a Shepard. The earlier they realize that the better it is for them
