Tells Buhari To Build Schools For Bandits and Their Children In The Forests- Gumi

Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, Ahmad Gumi has told President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to build schools for bandits and their children while affirming that it is the only way to end criminality in Nigeria.

Gumi made this claim on his Facebook page.

The cleric who said this on the ground that amnesty is the right way to go in ending banditry in the country disclosed that he once asked some herdsmen in the Janjala forest of Kagarko to take up education and renounce banditry.

According to him, they accepted his request ““Today, with the roofing in place, they have moved into the school even without plaster, electrical fittings, ceilings, tiles, and painting to continue their lessons. So far, about 600 students were enrolled out of which 150 are married women.”

Guni stressed that having schools erected in some of these forests will help the current security challenge in the country. He, therefore, urged the current administration to emulate his model.
