Politics: I Was Led By The Spirit Of God To Decamp To APC – Femi Fani-kayode

The former Minister of Aviation, during the former President Olusegun Obasanjo administration, Mr. Femi Fani-kayode has formally decamped from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling party, the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The former Minister was presented to President Mohammad Buhari by the Chairman, APC Caretaker Committee and the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni On Thursday September 16th 2021, at The Presidential Villa Abuja.

In his speech, Mr. Fani-kayode said that he was led by the spirit of God in his decision and that he joined APC to help for the unity of the country, adding that he was against anything capable of causing disintegration of Nigeria.

He also explained that he was instrumental for the exit of the three PDP governors to the APC recently; namely: Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State, Ben Ayade of Cross-River State and Bello Matawale of Zamfara State.

He further explained that he has friends across party line and was wooing the governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, and the governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed to join the ruling party, APC.

Can decamping from one political party to another helps in the good governance of the country?
