A former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido has said Nigeria cannot break up because the elites are united in preserving their advantages over the masses.

A national daily, Daily Post, reports that the former Governor stated this while addressing his supporters who converged in their hundreds, calling on him to contest the 2023 presidency on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.
Daily Post quotes Alhaji Lamido as saying ordinary Nigerians are burdened with poverty and Nigeria’s breakup is the last thing on their minds. Their dignity, self-esteem, pride and self-worth has been taken away by the elites who will lose everything should Nigeria break. The ordinary man however, will lose nothing as he is already been subjected to hell on earth.
Taking shots at the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration, the former Governor said the “country is bleeding because there is no purposeful leadership, no justice, no peace, no security all over, only injustice, denial of people’s rights and privileges and above all, the collapse of government institutions.”
