“Out of 5 Travelers I Know, Only Me Returned Alive from Jos” — Ondo Traveler Narrates
One of the victims of gunmen attack in Jos has recounted how he escaped death in the hands evil in human’s face.
The victim, Mr. Abubakar Bello while granting an interview with BBC News Yoruba at the hospital where he is currently receiving treatment said they left Okeagbe in Ondo State around 3:00pm on the fateful day.
“We arrive Jos at night, our bus was attacked by gunmen. They marched everyone in the bus down the road. They beat us mercilessly to the point everyone sustained injury. Some were killed before we were rescued by soldiers who were on patrol. In fact, only me returned alive out five travelers we left Ondo State together”.
Another victim of the attack, Mr. Usman Ahmad narrated what he went through and how he narrowly escaped death due to military intervention in the area.
The Chairman of Miyetti Allah, South West chapter, Alhaji Muhammed Kabir while speaking on the attack commended the soldiers for rescuing the lives of innocent travelers in the hand gunmen.
He urged the federal government to provide adequate security personnel on the road to ensure safety of people on the highway.
