Femi Fani-Kayode Calls On Christians And Muslims In Plateau To Stop Killing One Another

Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister, has called on Christians and Muslims in Plateau to stop killing one another.

Following rising tensions in the Jos North Local Government Area, the Plateau State Government reintroduced the 24-hour curfew that had previously been reduced.

Several people have been killed, many more have been injured, and property has been damaged in the LG’s Yelwa Zangam hamlet.

According to the DAILY POST, a new attack on a Christian hamlet in Yelwa Zangam left 36 people dead in what appears to be a vengeance attack by suspected Islamic hardliners following the recent incident along Rukuba road in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

Near Manjagap, behind the University of Jos’ Student’s Village, is the Yelwa Zangam Community.

In response to the killings, Fani-Kayode claimed, “Christians and Muslims are slaughtering one other in Plateau.”

I was heartbroken as I viewed the footage.

This is a watershed moment in the history of our country. We must pull back from the cliff’s edge and build love, peace, and forgiving bridges. These murders must come to an end, and the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
