A policewoman has been abducted by herdsmen in Ayetoro, Ogun State and her car abandoned by the roadside. Until the sad incident, she was attached to the Area Command Office, Ayetoro Police Division. Her whereabout is still unknown.
Mr. Olaifa Aremi, a lawmaker representing the area reported it. He complained that the number of attacks by Herdsmen in his constituency is increasing day by day and pleaded with the security agencies to swing into action as soon as possible.
Aremi also appealed to the governor, Dapo Abiodun, to come to the rescue of the people of Egbado North/Imeko Afon Federal Constituency in the areas of security and road reconstruction.
He said: “I am sad to formally bring to the public notice of an unacceptable renewed onslaught of Fulani herdsmen on my constituents of Egbado North/Imeko Afon Federal Constituency in Ogun State. While my people like others globally are grappling with the troubling effects of COVID – 19 pandemic, no fewer than three cases of attacks were recorded on the Abeokuta – Olorunda – Aiyetoro/Imeko Road in the last four days; all in the hand of these tormenting Fulani herdsmen.”
In response to the appeal, the Commissioner of Police assured him and the people that the situation is under control and that they will make the culprits to face justice.
We fear what would be done to this lady as this “animals” or “cows’ are known for rape. We pray she stays alive. Are herdsmen gradually taking over from Boko Haram? Guys, what do you think should be done to put an end to this mess? ☹️☹️
What can you say to this?
